OUR PURPOSE

The BID Academy Consortium is a comprehensive consulting clearinghouse & technical trainer of women, minority, and veteran owned businesses throughout the United States with key expertise serving Texas Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUB's). Our organization works to understand the purchasing histories, policies, procedures, and regulations of all organizations (state agencies, universities, municipalities, school districts, SBA/SBDC's, Federal PTAC's, hospital districts, prime contractors, etc.) involved in the process of procuring goods and services in all 50 US states and 430 plus departments, agencies, and sub-agencies that operate within the federal government. The primary focus of our consultancy revolves around assisting minority, women, and service-disabled veterans in utilizing purchasing as a financial tool to grow and fund their business operations in a profitable manner as a potential secondary income stream.

OUR APPROACH

The BID Academy Consortium, LLC., is just as the name implies, a network or consortium of already trained HUB businesses that can be available to partner with you on creating business alliances to make you more competitive in the procurement/business marketplace. We provide needs assessment, evaluation, consultation, hands-on education and when warranted, a comprehensive analysis including timelines, milestones, contract assistance, bookkeeping, state comptroller and IRS compliance and reporting.

WHY US?

BID ACADEMY TRAINING OVERVIEW

  • Provide minority, women, and service-disabled veteran owned businesses with assistance in all phases of completing the Historically Underutilized Business (HUB), Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) or other certification processes across the country. 
  • Assist businesses in completing additional certifications which boost their ability to expand purchasing opportunities across multiple platforms.
  • Provide comprehensive training in navigating the complex websites of state and federal procurement agencies while understanding what is purchased and how to locate products, services, rules, regulations, and deliverables. 
  • Assist small business clients in understanding the bid preparation, submission, and completion process.
  • Provide on-going, one on one counseling for entrepreneurs on business planning, marketing, bookkeeping, and other skills.
  • Provide financial literacy through coursework and consultation that enhances client’s ability to secure necessary funding.
  • Provide access to capital for business operations which includes traditional and non-traditional funding.
  • Provide technical assistance to businesses before, doing, and after contract award.
  • Provide training to assist businesses in completing all awarded bids to the satisfaction of governmental entities and private industrial firms to ensure that all goods and services are delivered and or performed prior to remittance of funds to businesses and manufacturers or suppliers.
